Very nice book, I would definitely recommend it.It was advised to me by Q. Trollip and it is really ... (Read more) a good deal. There are many models for beginners to intermediate folders, then you can have a shiny animal in less than 30 folds.I particularly appreciate the whales which are really good designs :)I didn't put 5 stars because of the little amount of models who requires special papers (as for the rooster for the red comb), or composite models as for the Ouandji.

Adorables Animaux en origami est un excellent ouvrage pour une première approche du travail de Kuni... (Read more) hiko Kasahara. La présentation en est remarquable: voici un vrai livre d'images, agréable à feuilleter pour son illustration abondante et de qualité. Chaque modèle est en effet photographié, souvent sous plusieurs angles et à partir de plusieurs pliages aux attitudes variées. Les diagrammes sont clairs, en couleur et il n'est nul besoin de lire le japonais pour s'en sortir dans la réalisation des quelques 60 modèles. Les séquences de plis sont d'une rare efficacité, aucun pli n'est superflu et les modèles finis sont tout d'élégante simplicité. Ils témoignent d'un regard très précis et aimant sur le vivant et sont empreints d'une douceur telle, qu'ils justifient pleinement le titre donné au livre. Ce livre mène à une vraie découverte de l'art d'origamiste de Kunihiko Kasahara et je ne peux donc que chaleureusement recommander cet ouvrage exemplaire, aux passionnés de tout niveau.
